To attain a cybersecurity bachelor's degree, students are required to complete 120 credit hours. These credits encompass compulsory, general, and elective subjects, with the chance to earn credits through industry certifications. Compulsory courses constitute a minimum of 60 credit hours, while a maximum of 48 credit hours can be transferred from relevant industry certifications. The remaining credit hours can be fulfilled by selecting general and elective subjects.
In addition to the requirements mentioned above, students pursuing a cybersecurity bachelor's degree also have the opportunity to earn an associate degree. By achieving a total of 80 credit hours, with a minimum of 60 credit hours from core subjects, students can attain an associate degree in cybersecurity. This allows students to obtain a recognized qualification at an earlier stage while still working towards completing the full 120 credit hours required for the bachelor's degree. The associate degree serves as a milestone in the educational journey, providing valuable credentials and expanding career prospects even before completing the full program.
